Our goal is to help the youth of our community develop their basketball skills and a love for the game. We foster the ideas of hard work, discipline, and commitment. Our athletes get the opportunity to work on their game year round while being exposed to high level coaching, a strength and conditioning coach, and college coaches that visit practice.

"I have seen Pete Stefonowich work with basketball players from 2nd grade up to all- conference level college players. His ability to communicate and teach the game effectively based on the players' goals and abilty is second to none."
" Elite pushed me to develop leadership skills and strong work ethic through the game of basketball. During my time with Elite, I was able to develop my basketball skills to compete at a high level. Coach Stefonowich is a great teacher of basketball fundamentals and he excels at motivating his players. The culture of the program helped to create lifelong relationships which I am truly grateful for. Coach inspired me to make basketball my lifestyle and continues to be a mentor in my career as a college coach. Elite Basketball is more than a basketball program, it is Family! "
"I first joined the Elite Basketball as a freshman in high school. I was able to grow as a basketball player both on and off the court, getting better every practice, every game. I went from being one of the last players off the bench as a freshman to Captain of my varsity basketball team. I not only was a player but also coached for the Elite Basketball program for many years. We worked hard on teaching kids the fundamentals of the game, dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork, ball movement. And we also learned how to preform off the court, how to be a better person in school and with our families. The lessons we learned from being a part of the program are still a major part of my life today as I am still close friends with many of my former Elite teammates and coaches. And I also have a bond with many of my former players that I coached as well. This program is run the way a basketball program should be run, its a great place for kids to develop skills on and off the court to be successful in basketball and more importantly in life."
"Elite Basketball was such an important part of my development as a basketball player and as a person. It's a great opportunity for players to get playing time and hoops knowledge outside of their school teams, and some of the greatest relationships I've had have come from playing for Elite. "
In every basketball environment I’ve touched - NCAA Division I, the D-League, or the NBA - I lean heavily upon my foundational experience shadowing Pete Stefonowich. The ingredients that go into winning do not change, regardless of the level. Whether coaching inexperienced youth or hall of fame talent, I understand, thanks to Pete, the relentless pursuit of greatness begins with creating optimal conditions for a player's love of the game to shine. I have no doubt that Elite Basketball of the Hudson Valley is reflection of that very concept.
